Yates American, J-170 Lathe
Weighs approximately 650 lbs, was completely rebuilt by Bob Espen, including a new Baldor 1hp, single phase motor (110/220, currently wired for 220). The lathe has a 15" over the gap, and 12" over the bed clearance with 42" between centers. There is a live center, drive center and cup. Multiple faceplates, some commercial and a few that Bob made (heavy duty), along with two Nova chuck inserts for 1 1/8" - 8 spindle, an extra spindle, an offset sleeve for turning out of round, and a screw center. There is also 3 tool rests for it, one original and two machined up by Bob giving a wide range of turning tool support.
Asking $600 for the whole package.
I'm willing to bring it up to Anchorage on one of my trips north, or, a much preferred way is to load it up for a buyer coming down to Seward on a weekend getaway!
