AWA Annual Picnic/Club Meeting
June 8, 2013
10:00 a.m. - 2:00 p.m. (approximate)
to be held at:
Jeff Trotter's Estate at 971 S Joanne Street, Palmer
Directions: Take the Glenn Highway to the Parks/Glenn interchange. Take the Parks highway for one mile to the Trunk Rd exit (you will see the new hospital to the right of the road). Turn right onto Trunk Rd. Pass through 1 roundabout. Turn right on Duchess Dr. (the first right after you crest the big hill which is Duchess Dr. by the UAF experimental farm). Take a left on Regents Rd (going straight isn't really an option). The next street on the right is Joanne Drive. Mr. Trotter's house is at the end of the street, last driveway on the left.
This is our last meeting until September. The meeting will be held at 10:00 am at Jeff Trotter's Estate in Palmer, Alaska. The event includes a demonstration by one of our local woodturners and an Instant Gallery of members work.
Short meeting followed by woodturning demonstration by Don Bladow, Annual Potluck Picnic, an Instant Gallery and a club auction.
Bring a dish to share, an item you've turned to enter in the Instant Gallery, and have a great time. Items created in Master Classes by Mike Hosaluk and Glenn Lucas will be auctioned off. Finality to auction on Bill Bower's Saturn Box and Pyramid Box will also happen.
