Richard Acuff, as a part of
retired life, he has enjoyed the craft of turning wood over the past
four years and belongs to the Alaska Woodturners Association (AWA)
as a Board member. He has had the pleasure of learning
woodturning from many local AWA turners as well as from annual AWA
Symposium master turners who have come to Anchorage. Richard turns
bowls, platters, candlestick holders, vases, boxes, goblets,
Christmas ornaments and other items, both useful and decorative, out
of various woods including Alaskan Birch, Madrone, Cherry, and
African Mahogany. |

Randall Farris, is a local turner
in Anchorage, Alaska and a member of the Alaska Woodturners
Association. His focus is on expanding his understanding of form, design and proportions
of his turnings to produce an eye pleasing turning. He enjoys all
forms of turning and loves to learn from the various Master Turners
and Local Turners in the club. Randy has been turning for five years
and is the webmaster for the Alaska Woodturners association Website. |
